Good morning Gents,
Thanks for the input so far. I'm at work right now, so I can't get you an updated pic of my actual pump housing, but it does in fact have nothing that resembles a channel or a hole. I know there's a slight difference between the 75's and the 100's, but I wasn't expecting this. I've seen the one as pictured above with the upside-down "J" looking channel, the ones with one little weep hole, the ones with the two little weep holes, and now mine... a nice shiny machined surface where the holes and the channels would/should be, but aren't.
Here's a question for my own personal consumption... That semi-circle weep hole that's in the block? Does oil go in to it, or does it come out?
All things considered, and regardless of that answer, I'm guessing I should apply the gasket maker (I've been using the Hondabond) around that semi-circle then.
I was still a little confused because the Clymer publication indicates the sealant should go on the inside of the holes that coincide with the engine block. Wouldn't this then give cause for leakage?
