Red triangle warning light

Hi Guys, just ticking off the jobs to get the brick going. The red triangle warning light is always on when I turn on. So I bypassed the BMU as per the guide on this forum, is there anything else that will trigger this light?

Anything else besides having a tail light or brake light not working, a brake light modulator installed that interferes the BMU function or a problem with ABS? You've eliminated those?

Nope, I haven't (doh!). So abs problems can set cause this light to illuminate?

One purpose of the light is to warn of rear bulb malfunction; the other is to monitor the ABS. Read up!

When you start the bike the ABS and BMU delta warnings will display. After the bike rolls about ten feet, the lights should cycle off, sometimes the front and rear brake may need a light tap. The usual suspect causing the delta warning to stay on is a bad brake light bulb, which you don't usually notice unless you ride the bike ten feet, leave it running, and activate the brakes to verify the brake light comes on. Go replace your rear brake light bulb and report back.

Could be the a faulty tail light triggering it but the police usually will spot that and pull you over in the US.

Apologies Laitch, should have read that first!  I guess as I haven't ridden it anywhere yet I may be looking for something that isn't there. I was reading wrong wiring diagram and couldn't see how that interacted, so that was't helping. Off to sit on the naughty step!

That's just one of many public services from the boys in blue, but you can waste a lot of time riding around looking for a police officer to ask to check it.

This is interesting. Drake seems to have wired mine up so it comes on when the sidestand is down
