Just over 2 years and more than 13,000 miles into my K75 experience, I have this recurring issue:
The speedometer needle does not stay secure. It appears that the mechanism that holds the needle vibrates significantly - this includes the odometer and trip mileage indicator. When on bumpy surfaces, I can see these components vibrating and moving slightly. The tachometer needle on the other side stays very solid and secure and does not vibrate in a similar fashion. The result is that the speedometer needle sometimes swings to unreal speeds when on bumpy surfaces, sometimes loses the 0 mph position, or sometimes it completely falls off. Can anyone comment on how solid their speedometer needle is relative to the tachometer needle? Maybe I have something broken in the odometer/trip mile indicator area that makes it not fit as securely as it should. Or maybe I am not pushing the needle on to the pine hard enough, but I have tried to fix this several times.
Thanks
