Thank you for that clarification. Ordered that cleaner so it should be here saturday along with a soldering iron(just in case). Gonna do more research and broaden my knowledge until I can get back to the bike. Thanks for the help. My mind is all over the place, but gonna use the bike as a point of focus.

So I'm having to go the fully replace the male/female connector route for the fuel gauge connector. Parts fiche: 61 31 1 459 047

I'm able to salvage it's screw top with the hole so that I can fit another connector, but now I'm working on trying to find a 4 part connector that is fuel safe and will work. I suppose the fuel gage will never work properly. Not unless I buy I more modern tank or have a fabricator adapt a port for the newer float systems.
