Part Number Help

91 K100 RS . I'm getting ready to do my spline service and I want to preorder the main seal , I'm just sure if I have the correct part number . 1117666186 ? Would someone please confirm this  . Thanks

I am not sure where you are seeing that. By main seal I think you mean the input shaft seal.


In MaxBMW the input shaft seal is part #   23 12 1 451 020 which a replacement part for the original part which is 23 12 1 451 151

It looks like the both of you are not talking about the same seal.  The OP's part number is for the engine block and the response is for the transmission.  Which one are you looking for?

Thanks  , something just didn't seem right about the number I had . This is my first spline lube are there any other parts I might want to preorder ?

  I found some paper work that came with the bike that claimed the main seal was leaking and I assumed I could get to it when I do the spline service .

If you are doing t he clutch splines you might want to do the clutch o-ring and the rear main seal on the engine, the one behind the clutch assembly.  If that is your plan, you have the correct part number. 

You can also get the seal and o-ring at an industrial bearing/seal distributor.  The seal is teflon, size 50x80x10.  The O-ring is viton and the size is 19x4
