Rubber boots for Throttle bodies?

I can't seem to find those rubber boots that go onto the throttle bodies on the Max BMW fiche... any tips on part numbers or which fiche to look at?  I'm trying to hunt down some un-metered air.  Not the Z Tube this time.   

Seems like they should be in fiche 13_0519 - THROTTLE HOUSING ASSY/CONTROL UNIT but I don't see what I'm looking for pictured below for sale.


Is the carb cleaner test just spraying some near the throttle bodies and seeing if it goes vroom?

I'm afraid it is the Intake Manifold as referenced by http://www.motobrick.com/index.php?topic=624.0  although it looks a little different on my K75.

propane much better for finding air leaks.  yes, just spray in around with engine idling.  idle will increase if it finds a leak.

Dangit, went to take pictures over lunch and didn't have enough charge in my phone. 

I'll get a propane torch ready and give it another go tomorrow. 

Mlytle, juding by your pictures and my recent review of the situation, I think I'm looking for the connectors on the other side. 

I can't be certain yet but I'm hearing sloppy idle, and I'm seeing that the engine is a little wet looking around the right most cylinder. 

Thus, my suspicion is that the connection between the lower part of the throttle body and the engine is losing it's seal - after fuel is supplied.

Well, it was that last time (2 ish years ago) so I got another one...  but then upon inspection the one that was installed still looked good - no cracks.  I may well put in the replacement just as a test while monkeying around..

Did you remove it to inspect it? Sometimes a visual inspection doesn't show the crack until you remove it -- then it becomes apparent. Of course, you could damage it during removal, so there's a catch-22 there. Bottom line on this part if you ask me is that it needs to be replaced periodically whether it appears to have failed or not, because after two years if it hasn't cracked, it will soon. That's one part I always have an extra new OEM one in the parts box for.

Well, it's been a few months but if my addled memory can be trusted I didn't.  I'm just going to replace it next weekend since I have the part on hand.  (two of them, actually!)
