So, still dealing with an 85 K100 that will start, but has trouble under load, and stumbles at about 1/4 to 1/3 throttle in neutral. Sometimes stalling after throttle.
Got around to finding a multi meter and tearing into it in the hotel parking lot... The sensor was showing 2550 ohms/19°C/66°F, about 30 minutes after being ran in 85-90°F ambient. I will try and get a fresh "hot" reading from the FI ECU plug once I get the tank and everything back on, to see if the disparity increases. If so, then a new temp sensor is in order (maybe there is already a big enough disparity, in the opinions of those here, to confirm).
While I was in the area, I decided to check the temp sensor connector as well. Got a good low/no ohms reading from the connector to the FI ECU plug. But the other pin has me thinking... In the Bert Vogel troubleshooting PDF, it says that besides the FI ECU signal, it sends one to the temperature switching unit. The only reading I could find so far, was from the temperature switching unit pin to ground, which is showing 4480 ohms. Is this about right? Or should I have better continuity? Or is this even a viable test? I don't know if this temperature switching unit can even be static ohms tested.
