Freedom
« on: July 21, 2016, 06:53:12 PM »
Of course, Yanks will be the first to say they're all about Freedom -- but when it comes to the freedom to express yourself the way you want on motobrick.com...not so important I guess.

Maybe someone should add a bit of code to the forum that automatically changes 'Yankee' to 'Wanker'  :neener:

Joke's played, mods. Time to get the bug out from where it's stuck.

My humble $0.02...as a freedom lovin' American.

C.heer.s!

Well, Laitch, I guess I prefer to let people choose their own words, so I can't see myself doing that any time soon.

But that's just me :dunno2:

Anything that makes the great British word 'Wanker' spread further in the US has to be a good thing...

So bring it on

Either that or I will be forced to resort to Cockney rhyming slang to thwart the septics

It seems certain powers-that-be at Motobrick.com are obsessed with a certain 1980s American sitcom set in a certain Boston sports pub to the extent that they refuse to allow the title of said sitcom to appear in any other context than that of said sitcom. To this end, they have implemented a hack on Motorbrick.com that globally replaces any occurrence of said sitcom name as a salutation commonly used by citizens of non-US countries (I.e. Great Britain, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and other non-native English speaking countries of the EU) with a variety of terms connoting homosexuality, snobbery or chronic masturbation, despite the fact that said salutation predates said sitcom by at least several centuries.

As an investigative journalist I seek only to uncover facts without judgment. Sitcom obsession syndrome is a serious disorder that can affect the behavior of afflicted individuals in unpredictable ways.  Those who choose to use said salutation are encouraged to do so by adding random punctuation and diacriticals into the character string, such as C.heers, Cheer$, Ch33rs or C9eers. Since the number of combinations to achieve this result is infinite, the afflicted individuals will focus their energy on this task and are less likely to bump into walls or otherwise harm themselves.

Ciao Bella...

Well, actually, no, the Word PoPo have no interest in the referenced sit-com or mythical bar.....................the alteration of the spelling can be directly attributed to a medical condition suffered by the MOTOBRICK Chief Editor of PMS. Yes, the tragic truth is that the fascination with queers and donkeys normal in any 7th grade boy can become fixated , and , sadly a life-long obsession, Permanent Middle School Syndrome PMS. This is doubly tragic when there is a secondary diagnosis of PKS
.............Permanent K-Bike Syndrome.

As you know I'm not a big fan of group rides for a cause...

http://www.motobrick.com/index.php/topic,8604.0.html

But for Ride to Fight PMS/PKS ...wouldn't miss it for the world. Will even donate $50 to a worthy cause, as long as it results in the dispensation of $50 worth of beer.

Truly we are K-Brothers, bound by our shared values of a cure for PMS/PMK in our lifetime, and a sneering disgust for Ted Cruz.
While group rides are a bit of an anathema to K-Bikers, a worth cause awaits our selfless action. The CPC ( Central Planning Committe) just announced work has begun for a series of charity rides to be held this Fall in the U.S., Canada, OZ, and Europe, to raise awareness and funds for research to manage and cure PMS/PMK. Details coming soon!
