Missed one picture. I also reckon if you require a longer rear fender, it would be possible to use a bucket or possibly a square waste bin ( Courtesy of Gryph, some people just aren't satisfied and have to be different ). Laitch I now expect you to post your version when you finish it. I am now pondering other uses for the amazingly versatile BUCKET.
Regards Martin.

Thanks, Martin. That looks good, and thanks for explaining your technique for bending it, too. I will honor your request for a photo just as soon as ambition gets the better of me.

After 7 years of faithful service a recent ride into NSW saw my bucket flaps demise.  18 K of ruts and a mixture of large gravel (small rocks) and fine gravel ridges battered it into submission. It did however do its job with no damage to the belly pan. Just after the torture test it bent up and there was a significant split in it. So I decided to upgrade it to a $4.50 Bunnings bucket and they did however still have the cheaper bucket but now priced at 99c. The difference is the old bucket is .75 mm thick the new bucket 1.85 mm thick. I used the old one as a pattern and cut it out with shears and you still get 5 flaps per bucket and a shallow bowl.
Regards Martin.

You could probably get 3 more flaps out of that bucket then make a 4 legged stool out of the bucket.

The wonders and versatility of the humble bucket, with only one taken out of it it makes a nifty rain hat.
