The first pic is the EFI and cable just outside the bike frame, the second pic is the EFI in place.

Your images are blacked out, gp; my images are appearing. Can you see your images on your screen?

As you can see it needs to be bent tight to get past the frame.  Once in place it still has a tight bend.  Are other bricks not like this?

all images visible from here.

cable routing looks like mine.  sharp bend down after exiting ECU.

Well, I don't know what's happening here.

How's the ECU mounted? Is it in the bottom of the tool box that's mounted to rubber bushings attached to the frame?

It looks decided abnormal to me, now that I've got the images. That thing is out of position. I don't know what's in the way but it should be further under the seat. The tool box should be mounted over two frame-mounted  rubber donuts  that fit within plastic half moons molded into the front side of the box. If it were mounted correctly it would be higher, more forward and the plugs cable would be inside the frame rails and have a more of a curve and less right angle bend.

I see it shoved back in there but is it mounted on the bushings, gp?

The ECU position and bend at the connector looks pretty normal to me.

Laitch, yes it is mounted on the bushings.  The split in the bushings is slotted in the plastic frame.

That's not what I'm talking about. There are bushings mounted on frame spikes that the tool box rests on. Is that happening?

Yes, the tool box is on the bushing sticking out from the gas tank side.

Thanks for checking that, gp. It's probably the fish-eye look of that image that is skewing things for me. If this radical bend in the cable is typical from yours and rbm's experience. I'm right baffled. You've got it working though and that's what counts.

Damn! I can't get this thing to gallop! :beatdeadhorse:
Anyway, these are for comparison. If the battery were installed it wouldn't impinge on the cable. The lower cable tie on the left diagonal frame member could be removed to allow the cable to be straightened and the right side cable loop to be extended further rearward but it's ok as is.
