Down but not yet out
« on: August 14, 2015, 05:23:39 AM »
March 22, 2015.   Hit by a truck (Ford Explorer)  My damage: broken hip, knee cap, and leg 2 places.   I've had 4 surgeries, and can now walk somewhat.   I have a hard time holding myself up so it will likely be a while before I'll be able to hold a bike up.   Long sad story short.  I'll be parting out the '94 k1100LT.  My son is going to help with the dismantle.   The front end damage is to great for repair. Everything infront of the radiator and headlight and below is trash.  If anyone is interested in the good parts, PM or email is good for contact.   I was at a full stop in a parking place when she hit me so engine and driveline is good.   Fuel tank is badly dented but fuel pump still working.  People on this site have been great to me.  I'll give everyone here first choice at parts and pieces, If anyone here is interested let me know.

Ouch!  Best wishes with your recovery.  When I wrecked mine (deer hit) I bought/sold parts here and on ibmwr.org with good results.  Hope you get some wheels back soon.

Good to hear you are on the mend. Sorry to hear about the K11, but the parts will go to keeping others on the road.
