Brakes squealing (k100RT)

So I have new pads and rotors on the bike and after a weekend of riding and jaunts around the neighborhood the last few days, the brakes are squealing. Everything was done properly. Rolling up to an intersection and sounding like a city bus is a tad embarrassing. Anything I can do about it?

Did you scrub and rough up the disks with 3M abrasive pads to brake the glaze?

No I didn't. I figured the friction would take care of it  :dunno2: . Guess I'll be stopping at the hardware store tomorrow.

i have not had this problem as the front pads i use have a little tension wire on them...

for those who have had this brake squeal... i have heard them say they squeeze some of this on there...

I agree with Johnny's suggestion... I had super-squeal front and rear brakes on my K75 that I fixed in two steps:  1. I replaced nearly-new sintered brake pads with organic (kevlar-based) pads;  2. I applied CRC Disc Brake Quiet to back of new pads before install. 

No more embarrassing stop light moments for me!
