Progressive Springs - preload spacer?

I'm rebuilding the forks on my K75c and adding these springs. I'm curious what length spacer to use on top, the stock spacer will preload them about an 1" more than I think they should be, or rather per their instructions.

So it would probably be best to take an inch off, just curious what others have done or experimented with?
I'm also using 10w oil  :mbird

I haven't done a K bike but put Progressives in my airhead. Something is rattling around in my memory regarding the objective being to achieve "x" amount of sag in the fork whence you're setting on the bike. So that said, the rider's weight has a bearing on spacer length/spring preload? Dunno for sure.

i have putts works performance in my 11 hunderts so it does not apply to the 750 motobrick...  there were 2 spacers in my kits... short was soft... long was stiff... only approx 1" difference...

i would call progressive and speak to their technical folks... somebody there gotts to know...

I cut them so I would have a 1.25 preload and their back together but I ordered an Eastern Beaver harness for the headlight and waiting for that before testing.  :music :

Meanwhile my FJR rear tire looks like a skunk and now both bikes are down for the count, at least until some parts come in.  :music :
