no big deal
« on: January 30, 2015, 03:26:55 PM »
Keeping my K75 and today sold my 1997 Rs1100rt touring bike.....it was too big for me.....It wasn't too heavy, just too big...hard to flatfoot....Now down to two bikes, the 94 Maggie and a 87 K75.......Whichever one I rde is my favorite until I ride the other.....nice problem to have...excellent bikes.

Having 2 is nice.  My K seems like some futuristic rocket after riding the Ural.  But somehow the Ural makes the BMW seem bland  :riding:

Interesting. The R1100RTP loaner I had for a day seemed a little lower than my K75. I can almost flatfoot my K, the R I could definitely flatfoot

Chaos,
The Ural was good? Do they only come with sidecars? Certainly an interesting proposition, this Russian machine.

It's been my daily year round rider for the last 3 years.  Fantastic in snow, but salt takes it's toll.  Simple, 1940's engineering.  High maintenance but has not stranded me. You can get one without the sidecar but I think they're special order. http://www.imz-ural.com/

Chaos, you are the Man! That is dedication to the passion of bike riding, for sure.  Not familiar with how southern Ohio winters are. You sure don't see many bikes on the road in southern Ontario this time of year. The only guy I've seen in the past three weeks was on a Ural!

Keep it going!
