If i let it sit a couple hours it will run fine for another 20 minutes then just cuts off usually.  is the filter in the tank? how do you remove the tank? any info appreciated as I bought it a few weeks ago and it was running awesome and it only has 50,000 miles on it and was well taken care of.

Filter is in tank, easy to change.  Remove 4 screws, remove 'flapper'(under tank cap) for access into the tank.  Then you can see the filter.  Loosen hose clamps to lift out filter--its pretty evident to see the inline style of fuel line connections--remember the direction of flow arrow when replacing with new one....Napa 3032 is choice of many, available and cheap.

Many of us just leave the flapper unit off...it apparently serves little purpose other than to limit how much gas goes into tank.

good to be here!  ya, lights work, pump whirrs upon key turn, spark, but no fuel getting through.  let it sit a couplehours and it's fine for 20-30 minutes and it dies again..... thanks for the info 552255.
