After a couple of years wanting one, I finally picked up an '86 k75. Apparently, it was a 'C' version that had the 'T' bits added on. I rode from Cambridge through central Mass and Connecticut to get it home and it was perfect. I'm real happy with it, seems to be in great shape and I can't wait to get some more miles on 'er.
Quick question: one of the press-fit bosses is broken on the radiator trim. Is there a particular type of epoxy I should use to 'glue' it back onto the trim piece? Thanks!

the trim piece... you are gonna have to take that off and send it to germany dhl to be repaired...

If there is any way you can ID the brand and model of the windshield, please do so....It is just the kind I am looking for.

Busted radiator fastener..unless you have the piece that is busted off looks like a tough one...If not, JBweld and a Dremel?  Maybe the only
way out is what Johnny suggested...

I have the piece. It is the bullet shaped plastic part on the trim, that presses into the rubber donut hole--it's no longer attached. The previous owner tried to repair it using some kind of fiberglass resin but it didn't stick. He's the one that said epoxy should probably do it but are there different kinds for different materials? If I clean and rough it up real well, it seems like a Gorilla Glue or JB Weld would be a good bet.   

Thanks again for any tips. I searched for articles on fixing but everything I come up with deals with fiberglass or fixing cracked fairings. Not adhering one piece to the other piece.

The windscreen is a bmw piece. I don't know the part number but I'm sure it can be looked up. If I think of it, I'll look through my receipts to see if there is a part number.

Chico, thanks for info on windshield..please do find the part number for me....I have the same kind of fairing and handlebars so I know it would fit mine..
I asked at the BMW parts desk at my dealer to look up an identical looking windshield for me and they said none fit my bike, but it fits yours so it will fit mine......Also, do the braces attach to just two spots on the handlebars or are there two other braces underneath that attach somewhere, and if so where?  Thanks..

On the gluing, I am guessing you will want to roughen the fiberglas resin that may be remaining and then use the glue...which type I don't, but likely some sort of an epoxy...someone will likely have done something similar and can give you a heads up..

It mounts down below on the top of the fork tubes also (I think).
