Not today, but over the last week:

* troubleshoot issue with temp gauge blowing Fuse #1 (many, many thanks to @TheMightyGriffon for his incredible support), including measuring resistance at temp sender (good)
* repaired my 'spare' temp gauge (center wire busted off ring terminal) and put that in place of the shorted temp gauge (fuse blowing problem solved)
* as long as the lower and belly fairings, fairing pads and seat were stripped, installed new light weight battery, pulled cylinder head cover and checked valve lash (all good!)
* changed all fluid and filters
* reinstalled all the various fiberglass bits and seat
* discovered the clutch pack was seized, so busted that loose doing the "5th gear + aggressively rocking" maneuver
* fresh gas + techron
* changed batteries in Fobo TPM thingies and aired up tires

Just waiting for this freaking rain to go away and I'll take her for a rip.

I repaired the constant ON the NEUTRAL LIGHT by replacing the PNP transistor BD370. The instrument cluster had to be dismantled to access the circuit board. I desoldered the OEM transistor, cleaned the three mounting points, and soldered the new one in place. Before reassembling the entire front end, I plugged in the instrument cluster for a successful test. The neutral light is on when in neutral. When I shifted it into first gear, the neutral light went out, and the same happened with the other gears. When the neutral light stays on, regardless of which gear is engaged, it is a serious safety issue. In any gear, the bike can start without pulling in the clutch. Sure, you can use the gear indicator, but mistakes can happen. If this happens to your K you'll have to dig deep to locate dead stock. When you solder, keep your iron no higher than 600 degrees f to reduced overheating the new transistor. Use a magnifying glass. (K75s 87 Original Owner)

Good information to share, thanks.
Did you use a BD370 transistor or a suitable substitute?

You are welcome. I used a new deadstock PNP transistor BD370.

NOTE:
It's a known issue and its independent of the Transmission Switch (Gearbox Position Switch) indicating current gear positions. It's important not to get confused. The switch and any associated problems employs different troubleshooting methods. In my case the gear indicator showed each gear correctly which told me the transmission switch is functioning. The neutral light just would not go out no matter which gear selected. Replacing the transistor fixed that. While in the instrument cluster check for loose components. I found one weak solder joint so I fixed that.

I rode home my second brick! Chilly two hour ride from outside of Colorado Springs back home to Denver.

I’ve had a 95 K75RT since 2014. Fairings came off in like 2017.

As of today, I also own a 95 K1100LT which I rode home for less than $1k.

I need to stop buying and start selling vehicles.🙃

Got in some Pirelli Angel GTs for my K1100LT. I’m not stoked about the idea of changing them but excited to get the new wheels on new tires. Ride On came in, too.

Removed the old exhaust manifold studs which were rusted and very reluctant to come out. Used two lock nuts tightened against each other and heat to extract them.

Intending fitting some stainless ones eventually.

Finished off re-mounting the handles onto the tail after removing the LT luggage rack and refastened the luggage racks. Still fighting my seat issue and started to work on installing some driving lights on custom mounts for under the mirrors. Hoping in '26 I can get a repaint done.

This last weekend, had some time. For now skipping some of my electrical upgrades to get her on the road. Fixed my sidepanels, got the new seat installed and aligned properly. This is my fourth k-bike (K100RS, K11LT, K12RS...now the '93 K11RS). So I've changed oil several times on these... for some reason I had it in my mind that I would pull the sump cover first... laughing at myself. What a mess. Despite having service records for the last 12 years and it showing the rear seal/o-ring had been done in the last 4-5 years... I might have that problem again. I'll see what accumulates underneath and make more plans. Cheers, Shaun

I found that it is amazing what you can see if you just look.

No photos to post but short story: My bike suddenly got much louder. I was on a trip, and thought I must have blown the exhaust manifold or gasket or some such. I lived with it for the rest of that trip, and mentally prepared myself for manifold removal, broken studs, the whole shebang. I drove it a couple of times but usually just took Betty Blue (an F650 — enduro style - out while girding myself for the inevitable. Well yesterday, the inevitable happened, Betty Blue started squirting water from the water pump weep hole (the system on a F650 is pretty much the same as the K75: there is a common shaft with oil pump inside, water pump outside, and seals that like to leak). I’ve done the seal a few years ago, actually have done them on both bikes, and failure so soon is frustrating. So anyway, I don’t have the seal kit and had a longish rid planned for today. I decided to look at the exhaust manifold on Rocinante (my K75). Strange! One of the studs holding the front exhaust pipe to the head is completely missing! I looked in my pile of odds and ends and had a 10 cm long bolt that I had bought extra of for transmission removal. Incredibly, it threaded in perfectly! I screwed it in, and cut it off to an appropriate length with an angle grinder. Almost equally incredibly, I also found a suitable nut. I couldn’t believe my luck. An hours long anticipated job was fixed in 20 minutes. Bike is super quiet again. Whew!

I wonder how often the studs just back out like that, on their own, with no help?

Well yesterday I removed everything that had been piled up on and around my flying brick for the last 3 years. I haven't ridden it for 3 years because my girlfriend was too heavy ( in my opinion) fortunately we broke up yesterday and I went back to my first love , that being motorcycles .  I felt so good again ,my garage stereo ( unused for 3 years too ) was playing my old meat loaf ,and Pink floyd songs on my still good  ( also after 3 years sitting ) flash drive. I swapped the battery out of my old Harley that also sat idle for 3 years and my K 75 RT fired right up.. That was yesterday , today I took both front and rear brake light switches trying to find why my brake light didn't light up.. Long story ,, After many happy hours of working on a bike again ,i found the bulb ( which lit up when connected to the terminals of my battery charger ) was an 1141 bulb, not the 1156 which is what the sig lights and brake light uses. I must have put it in and thought I had a working brake light years ago. So then I bravely ( I'm 78 years old and 170 pounds ) went around the block a few times . To my surprise It all came back in a few minutes. I went to a car wash and a 35 km cruise ,then stopped at Walmart and bought liquid Turtle Wax so I can wax it before heading out on a 100 or 200 km ride tomorrow .
