National Cycle Windscreen for 1995 K75
« on: September 09, 2013, 09:27:17 PM »
I'm thinking of buying a NationalCycle windscreen for my 1995 K75.
They make two. One that gives you a lot of protection, it even goes wide enough
to protect your hands and the other is minimal protection primarily for the
wind blast on your chest. Could some of the owners of theses units chime in and give me your thoughts
on these or any other screens.

I have the F16 on my naked K75 http://www.nationalcycle.com/catalogue/zoom/FS-N2524-F16T_600.html

It was perfect at redirecting wind when I had the standard seat. Now that I have a low seat it I wish the windshield were a little lower.

Works great.

Well I bought the National Cycle windscreen for my 1995 K. I think the model Number is N2495. It's the smaller of the two that are available for this K model. At 6ft. tall with an inseam of 30 inchesb it turned out to be a little small. I will try readjusting it a little higher. I immediately took the bike out into the Interstate. I have to report that I was able to get to 70 MPH without being blown off. Then I went to 75, not bad. Then 80, not that good but I attribute this to old tires which need to be Replaced. Anyway, the wind I believe is being directed to my helmet. It was a short ride because of threatening thunder storms but I have developed enough intelligence to see if I can adjust this higher. For those who have this windscreen, I have it resting on the headlight chrome ring retainer. I'm going to bring it back to the headlight bucket so this means it may be an inch or so higher. Oh, it cost me $121.xx total.
