Volt Meter

Any ideas and/or pictures on how to set up a volt meter on a 1995 K75?

They sell little LCD voltmeters. You could install it in place of a dead clock.

Probably not the cheapest but this is the second bike I've had one of these on and they work well.

+1 on the Kuryakyn voltmeter in Tom's post above.  Great device but not cheap.

Tom, how did you wire the volt meter? How much of a hole did you make in the pad that it rest on? Did you wire an on and off switch? I have a 1995K75.

Mine is a '95 also but all K75s are pretty much the same.

The Kuryakyn has double-sided tape or some such on the back and I used that for the mounting.  I drilled something along the lines of an 1/8" hole in the dash pad to run the wires.  They are pretty small, maybe 18 gauge.

You can't really see it in the picture but I have installed a radio in the lid of the left-hand fairing pocket (you can see the brass piano hinge that holds the lid on).  The volt meter is wired into the hot and ground wires for the radio.  It is hot when the key is on just like the rest of the instruments.
