Not mine but the guy who bought it back in 1985 still owns it and brought it by to have me adjust the idle and TB sync it.  Then I took it for a spin around the hood. :2thumbup:

Check out the mileage.  Soon after he bought it he got deployed to Germany and lots of other places since then (Air Force) so it has spent most of it's life in storage.

The color is pretty close to Mystic Red, my digital camera doesn't do it justice.

Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

Finally managed to take a vid of one of the better parts of my nice commute, unloading from the kingston ferry, riding down through indianlola and suquamish, great start to your sunday ride if you don't have the good fortune to do this daily:

Thanks for sharing the commute vid Dave, that ferry makes a change to the average mundane ride.

Watch that first stop light off of the ferry at Edmonds. I saw a rider get killed by a left turner there a few years ago.

:( will do for sure, thanks Frank.  riding for a couple years in california made me really lock in the "i'm really invisible" mentality, saved my butt too many times to count.

A horn, yeah I know.
Dad's bike, I would have painted it black or relocated it.

A belly pad would hide it though :hmm:

Yup, post 30 of this thread. If only the Pixel hunt stayed around my normal stomping grounds east of 65. Been doing quite a bit of miles out that way lately.

One more in Memphis...

Too bad the grandparents left Memphis a couple years ago, used to head down there more than a few times a year.

My grandfather was born and raised in TN. Here:

There's a gal in Knoxville, a relative on my dad's side and the family genealogist, who has traced our heritage back to someone who fought in The Revolutionary War.  Her daughter is into raising tiny horses:

And she's into bigassed German Shepards.  This guy was 98 pounds at 13 months.  He's probably bigger than the tiny horsies by now:

Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

Thanks Big D.... there are a few cosmetic issues on the K (40K Miles)the front mudguard paint has pitted and peeled in places and the PO has done a dodgy rattle can spray repair on the upper o/s fairing when i got it the bike had been off the road for about 5 years which was pretty straight forward to put back in service i dont know if it is going to be worth repainting the dodgy bits as i doubt it will affect the value much.
The "R"(33K Miles) was a total rebuild which took me 18 months but well worth the effort as it has made a great bike

Mine too. It has been great weather here in the Napa Valley. Come back here for a ride up valley now that the grape leaves are turning colors.
If you can't do that, I will take a picture for you next time I ride up Silverado Trail.
