Welcome sight, embedded within a pack of Hondas.I gave up bike mags along with buying bikes years ago!
I see yours has a belly pan which in '86 wasn't standard,yet.'Does look good and with the pinstripe on the tank.Indeed 57,000 miles is less than halfway into its life,you lucky Git.All the best.

Nice looking brick.  I really like the S models. 

Is that your dream in the foreground.  Those were some of the coolest bikes ever made in a funky kind of way.  I laughed at them back in the day, but they have grown on me and I wouldn't mind having one today.

The white Honda is my mate's C77, 1961 vintage, and I bumped into him on the HTB run.   I've also got a 1975 Honda 400 four which I restored (hence the Soichiro user name) so we're kindred Honda fettlers.

I like the pinstripe too but I fear it will disappear when I respray the bike,  I'm sure my limited painting skills don't extend to pinstriping, although I'm willing to try anything.

That's my 400 in the foreground,  on a run with the VMCC guys in Bristol.

Newbie here, but I've been lurking.  Swapped my /5 for a K, love the bike except for the buffeting, so I cut down the fairing. Now the wind hits ma at shoulder level and my helmet is in the clean airflow. Home made signals on mirror extensions, bar ends and less rise at the front of the seat gave me what I wanted. It's great to see what others do to personalize their Ks.

I really like the look of that fairing!  Can you post some information on how you did the mods?

Right now I am looking for an old K75S windshield to do a similar cutdown.

You're on pillion and ma is at the controls?  :hehehe

Anyway, I've wondered how a modification like that on a K75S would work if that's all I could find after I finish abusing my bike. I want a steady push of air at my chest so I can relax my arms in my forward riding position. I like riding a naked K-bike but I'm not interested in paying the cost of creating one. Thanks for posting all the views! Looks good!

Like your bodged black panel on one side only.
I must try taking my K75S blade off again and see what wind pressure is like,maybe,more wrist support?More neck ache,for sure.

Shipper dropped this off two weeks ago  Had to resolve a couple   of very minor isdues,get  it licensed, and wait for weather to dry.  I'm liking it!

This is my BMW K100RS 1984. I'm third owner.
First owner had this bike for 30 years, second owner was my firend and he had it for 1,5 year and now I've got it.
Bike has got service history, and it's covered 48.000km.

Witamy Jenekbyd,your bike has some great upgrades and for that milage you will be in for a treat.The standard blue smoke on start up, I perceive from one of you're images,is normal.
 I hope your welcome in Cheltenham remains well after the Brexit retro step.I had hoped we were all on the way to becoming world citizens with a world wide Schengen.Oh well.

Hi folks! Here's a picture of my 1985 K75RT ABS (yeah I know that's not possible but...). I bought it 2 years ago for 2000€, and can say it's the best purchase I've ever made. I added heated grips, hazard lights, and a few oil changes. And the O2 sensor, which was failing. Picked up a used one from a Gipsy in Seville for €20. Oh, and I put in a new shock absorber and new springs in the fork.

That's news! Where is it attached; do you have a photo? I haven't found it on the fiche list for K75. ABS is there. I thought O2 sensors were 4-valve creatures.
