Help me replace this baffle...or do I really have to?
« on: April 27, 2012, 07:35:18 AM »
OK...took the intake apart to replace boots and o-rings...(and boy did it need them)...
Bike sat all week waiting for parts...got the parts yesterday...putting it back together and I can not figure how this one baffle thing goes back in.
It came out from behind the intake somewhere...but I can't remember which side up or in or how to fit it in...

Or maybe, I can just leave it out?  What does it do, really?

The serrated edge fits alongside one of the intake hoses from the airbox to throttle bodies.
The other holes are for the fuel line to pass thru.

It sits right behind the vents in the left lower to dissipate heat out the vent in the lower fairing panel.  If you don't put it back then I'd guess your left leg will get warmer than your right leg.
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.
