Pretty common for them to leak at the bottom seam in the center (most common spot). That's where the water in the tank settles. I used JB weld on mine about 5 years ago, just wirebrushed off the corrosion and smeared it on (the area is hidden by the fairing. It's held up well, I know of folks that have used Permatex instant gas tank repair with excellent results.
