Everything I've read about these $5/ea bmw clutch bolts has said they are stretch bolts. Maybe I've just read it wrong. Whatever, do what you want.

Anyhow, that's just me and my personal experience with lots of K bikes. Other people can do whatever they want.
Whatever, do what you want.
Just don't expect to do it in peace around here.  :laughing4-giggles:

Wow, I disappear for the weekend (I had a big move to do) and things got a little off topic! Are those bolts we talking about the ones included in the kit? https://kpartsholland.com/products/complete-clutch-kit-k75

As requested by Laitch, here's the video:

I hope the sound quality is good enough. My phone has a terrible camera.

Thanks for providing the video.  103123  Your camera ranks higher than terrible. I could identify the subject and the sound was distinctly neither a barking seal nor flatulence.  112350

That's the bolt alright.  What might be desirable is to torque them to 17Nm—as Chris Harris recommends—rather than 21Nm because they've already been stretched once. I reused mine once torquing them to 21Nm with no unpleasant results after 40K miles. I replaced them when I replaced the friction disc at 90K miles. As you might have gleaned from this thread, replacing them is optional. I like the kit photo of the gargantuan crush washer!  :laughing4-giggles:

I hear what could be clutch hub spline failure. The rhythmic clunk could be the driveshaft u-joint failing; however, there should be a vibration associated with that. I believe your intervention right now is fortunate. Start disassembling to view what is actually happening in there. Maybe you should wait before spreading your wealth so extensively.
