Whining noise

Hi there. I have K75RT 1996 and today found that https://youtube.com/shorts/fwC3VUNJf8U?si=wapj4VtormYctxln whining noise. In august 2023 i replaced oil seal and cooling ceramic seal. Already drove about 300-400 km after replacing and never hear the sound like that. Just before the noise i remove gas tank and spilled some gas. Does anyone know from where is that noise coming from?

Don’t you hear high pitch sound?  It started sound like that only today. I never heard this before! My bike sounds the same before this day.

K whine is generally associated with the fuel pump and can vary bike to bike. Perhaps having the tank off dislodged the pump dampener or something

Already disassemble fuel pump. It works fine. This whining noise appears after start and lasts 10-20 seconds or untill give more rpm
It could be bubbles in pump? Or this noise from impeller? Or ceramic seal? Or oil shaft?

When I turn up the volume, I now hear a gentle, high-pitched sound evocative of either a distant set of sleigh bells or a distant railroad crossing warning. It could be coming from sheet metal rattling against another component. Once again, from his observation tower in Ohio, Chaos's suggestion that moving the tank enabled some component to make this sound should be followed up by you.

This is one of the reasons why I wear earplugs when riding. I don't like obsession interfering with my enjoyment.

Yes, that could explain it.

I'm not good at noises, but if I had to pick, I'd call it a ceramic noise rather than a metallic one. If the idle is at 900 I'd say the noise is less than that.

The ceramic seal could be too dry (of lubrication, not water)

An old timers solution that has worked in the past, might help you, or might not, but easy to do, an no harm trying. Put a cap full of drilling oil in the coolant, it can work it's way to the seal and might solve the problem.

True, it doesn't explain why now.

I don't have high hopes for my guess either, since coolant also has lubrication properties, but it's worked in the past, it's easy to try, and I believe it's harmless to try.

I'm assuming you used fresh coolant after you replaced the pump, the coolant is full to the top of the filler neck, the correct ratio, that you let any air bubbles bleed out, and that there are no bubbles going into the expansion tank.

Before you mounted the combo pump to the engine, the impeller should have been turning smoothly without noise. Is the impeller the stamped metal type or cast metal type? If it is the stamped metal type, I suggest you ride it for 100 kilometers before you take the cover off. If the noise gets louder before that length of time, stop riding and do what you think you need to do; however, sometimes these pumps need time to bed the parts together after a rebuild.

After rebuild drove about 200-300 km. Should i just drove more 100+ km or already must open cover?

I used to have an intermittent whining noise from the rear of my Beeza. After a lot of research and effort i eventually fixed the problem. I got rid of my girlfriend.

One can be stopped by turning a key counter-clockwise. The other, not so much. It goes on 24/7.

Disassambled the water/oil pump and found circle scratch on the engine block. Sealing once again and refit pump, and after some time it started whining again. I have 32 T oil pump and i see some sealing fell into a hole. I`ve mark this hole with red in picture

Please post a photo of the circle scratch on the engine block. Also, post a photo of the side of the pump with the water impeller.

I already assembled it( it’s just circle scratch, right under the edge of the gear. All surfaces under the gears are smooth and have no scratches. Impeller fit well and don’t touches anything.

Without seeing the interior assembly of both sides of the pump, determining whether the pump could possibly be causing the noise you are hearing is unlikely.

Yeah i know, but what about this holes on top of the pum? How bad if it’s filled with some sealant?

Please post a photo of the circle scratch on the engine block. Also, post a photo of the side of the pump with the water impeller.
