Some of us non-military people prefer a 12 hour clock over the 24 hour clock in the instrument cluster.
Here's two ways to deal with it:
1 - QUICK & EASY: If you do the majority of your riding after noon then just set the clock 12 hours off. That way it reads like a 12 hour clock in the latter half of the day. I do this on my Ks.
