K Bike Radio Codes
« on: April 19, 2019, 08:02:43 PM »
I am not aware of a method to retrieve the unlock code from the K bike radios. That is information that I could use. Anybody know of a method?

Have you spoken with a dealer?

I recall seeing where people have gotten unlock codes from online decoder services.  Have you tried doing a search on decoders?  Apparently the manufacturers have allowed access to their security code data to some of these services.  You need the model and serial numbers to get the code.  I've never used one of these services, so I could be wrong, I only know I have read where owners have been able to recover these codes.

I did use a dealer, but after quite a long wait it was unsuccessful. I have not tried any online service, but I will give it a shot.

BTW, on my LT's, I use an engraving tool to put the code on the inside of the tail section cover and the inside of the glove box lid.

The radio on my boat has the code written on the top of the case with a Sharpie pen.  I recognize the fact that I am more likely to forget the code than have the radio stolen.

we can assume you don't have the original handbook?
when I had my k1100 it came with the original book.
the code to unlock the radio was on a sticker somewhere inside that book.
in my opinion you are not missing much by not having the radio.
for me it was a novelty that i played with a few times then forgot about it.
could only hear it at speeds under about 50mph

however i do recognize the urge to have everything on the machine to be operating correctly, as it was designed to .

I did like offering to spark up my friends cigarettes with my on board lighter tho'
thats was cool lol
