My brick engine whistle
« on: June 23, 2018, 01:02:09 PM »
Hello, My brick is fully working now but has some whistling noise. Not sure is it normal or not, I have my suspicions but maybe I am just panicking to much.
Here is link to youtube.

Can Anyone help diagnose?

I think it's the gears in the alternator/starter drives.  Put a couple thousand miles on it as soon as possible.  It won't make the sound go away, but it will make you notice it less.

About the same time you will probably stop trying to shift into 6th gear.

I think it's the gears in the scrotator/starter drives.  Put a couple thousand miles on it as soon as possible.  It won't make the sound go away, but it will make you notice it less.

About the same time you will probably stop trying to shift into 6th gear.
You are turning me into a scrutator with all your obscure terms. :neener:

To my ears, that sounds perfectly normal.  That's the sound the K-bike makes.
