FS: BMW K75 RTP Crash Bars $100 - Police / Front

Well... I figure if I'm gonna go "cafe" I might as well lose the crash bars. The K's not heavy enough to tip over now anyway, so what the hell.

These are the impossible-to-find K75 Police Bike front crash bars. The bars are not disfigured and will mount easily.

These have been on my K75 since 2013. They came in handy once or twice. I had them budget powder coated a few years ago, but you might want to properly sand them and have the powder coating redone. I drilled holes in them to mount the fog/conspicuity lights, so... there are holes.

All necessary parts are included. Includes 5 x rubber-metal bushings (part # 46 71 2 303 070) which are about $25 each from BMW. You may need a fresh metric bolt or two from your local hardware store.

Thanks for the PM. Answers to your questions:

These bars do not impede maintenance on my mostly-naked bike. The valve cover can be removed but requires a bit of a twist. No issues with oil changes.

I've tipped over twice I think. The bars did not bend. One of the rubber-metal bushings absorbed the force and had to be replaced.

As they were produced for the police bikes, I always imagined they were designed to allow the copper to drop his bike and pursue a robber without taking the time to deploy the side stand.  :hehehe

Your Adrnin powers don't show who might've done that or how? The cached version shows $100 on Google now too - but I do remember it was $200 when I first saw the thread. Thought you'd decided to sell 'em cheaper for some reason, so was pretty happy for a day there. I'll still take 'em anyway, so we can take this to PMs I guess.

Wanted to ask: How much do the bars weigh? RealOEM has three sets, but no images. The heaviest full set was listed at just shy of 3 kilos and is under "Official Vehicles", so I assume that's the police set?

Then again, now I have to wonder if your last message (about USPS being exorbitant and that we shouldn't bother) was even accurate or if that's been edited too!

If you can nest the two bars, such that they fit into something with "Max. length 79", max. length plus girth 108"" (I used a height of 12") then USPS Priority Mail International (i.e. el cheapo) should be $55.
