Kinda newbie...
« on: October 19, 2017, 08:54:25 PM »
Not really though..

I have owned a 02 K1200lt sold & miss her.
Currently own 05 K1200S & HP2 and a bunch of other bikes in the stable.

Got the itch & always loved the original K's.

So I picked up a 91 K100rs well cared for from an older gent in excellent shape 34k on the clock.

I have been reading a lot of the threads here & all I can say is WOW!!

The wealth of information here is awesome it already helped me greatly & I don't even own the bike a week)

Unfortunately, I didn't find the parts cross reference before I let my stealer bend me over I knew better (( that will not happen again.

Thanks for all you folks do for these awesome bikes.

Please be forgive me if I ask something that has been covered before but I suck at searching on any forum ((

But, I promise not to start an oil thread ))

Welcome! Read this unless you want to keep sucking, of course. :giggles

How about posting some photos of your bike?

Welcome!

As another 1991 K100RS owner I can assure you that you will find pretty much everything you need here, though a word to the wise if yours is a 16V bike quite a lot of what is here only sorta applies, the 16V was a pretty major overhaul compared to the 2v K bikes.

If you do not for any reason find what you need (I also find the search function here something of a challenge) just ask, I have been through my bike pretty much top to bottom and have had huge amounts of help and support from many great people on this great site.

Thank you, she is a fine example ))

I also picked up a "parts" bike a couple days later with 20k on the clock that was stripped of most of its bodywork but otherwise intact.

She actually runs a lot better that this one, and is as quiet as a sewing machine )

The one pictured has a kind of skip in it at & just off idle sounds just like my K1200S.

I took her around town when I first got her with a Seafoam dose in the tank but it didn't seem to help much.

I haven't gotten back to her as I had a heart attack last Monday & have been trying to get some of my other bikes tucked away for winter storage. ((

I for sure don't know how to attach a video!!

Go to the Photo Guidance section and create a gallery. You can post images and videos using it. If the instructions are too complicated to understand, mechanical work should probably be avoided too.
  :hehehe

If you're just posting a YouTube video, all you need to do is paste its URL in the reply box and it will open when you post it. You won't get a Modify button until you've done more posting.

Until then, preview your posts and work the kinks out of them before you post them.
