It may be possible to replace this hose without removing the upper part of the air box.
Yes, the right side fairing lower has to come off.
The air snorkel comes off, the air filter comes out.
From here, you may be able to remove the lower portion of the air box. It won't slip right out-you will have to manipulate it as you remove it as it has some rubber feet on it's bottom that set in some bosses in the top of the engine, but it can be done. BTDT.
Once the air box bottom is out, you can work with the rubber hose from the underside of the air box upper while still on the bike, as well as be able to reach the lower hose connection at the rear of the block.
