Fuel Additive
« on: September 28, 2016, 10:08:40 AM »
Back in the 70s I used to buy and use a fuel additive sold in Lindner, BMW known as Duralt. I swore by it. It  made my R bikes run smoother. Does anyone still use this product and where can it be bought. Oh, is it snake oil?
Forgot to mention, I now use Techron but it can be pricey as a pose to the Duralt which was a capful per tank full.
Do any of these fuel additives have a negative affect on the submerged fuel lines in the tank ( rubber hoses), when used consistently.
Any thought would be appreciated

I've been using Techron in my fuel for the last 19 years, I put half a bottle per tank two times in a row once or twice a year. It is the only additive that I trust and use, a lot of others are only smoke and mirrors. Techron as far as I have observed does not appear to effect either the hoses or the damper.
