Lo-Mileage K75, Value?

I'm looking for a bike for my fiance...something reliable that I won't have to spend a lot of time maintaining...and have friends that have owned K75's and all had good words for them. After making the trip from Palm Beach to St. Pete to test fit one it probably won't work for her...but I loved the bike. I'm very happy with my FJR but there's always room for one more bike in the garage.

My question is one of value...I don't know anything about value and what I've seen on the web is pretty much all over the place...this is a one-owner, 12K miles, 1994 K75....I guess standard. No fairing but full luggage....He's asking $2600 and that seems to me to be a pretty good price...

1 owner he should have service records on it.  If it needs tires (check the date on them) that's 3-4 hundred easily.  $2600 is on the high end but good price for a nice one.

Regular or low seat model? Can you post pictures of it? Glaring problems are often detected here from photos. I think the price should be lower because of the low miles. Idle bikes have more problems than bikes that are ridden.

I get the concern about a "garage queen" and the potential problems. I did have an FXDWG Dyna Wide Glide that was just that and spend many months sorting out issues before it was reliable....well, as reliable as an HD can be.

This bike ran well, really well. I would expect there will be some potential issue with rubber parts in general, clutch adjuster barrel looks like it might be frozen. But I didn't see anything glaring.

That's a low seat model—and a very shiny one at that. Are you comfortable sitting on that? Does the fan work? You're going to need it immediately in that hellish traffic down there.

There's nothing glaring on that squeaky-clean bike! It's attractive despite its low mileage.

See if you can get the owner to remove the fuel cap assembly and so you can have a look in the tank if its mostly empty, but it seems like your HD experience will serve you if your beauty here turns out to be temperamental.

Any bike with the iconic 22litre tail pac is a good bike.

I went to see it for one purpose and when I got home decided it might need a new home anyway...so other than a quick sit I didn't spend any time driving it around. On the surface the ergos didn't seem a lot different than the FJR. Most of my height (6-3) is in my torso and the reach felt right. Before I pull the trigger on anything I'll take another run over and do some driving. It's a 3 1/2 hour jump from where I live...good excuse to stretch the Yamaha's legs.

Nope. The Standards started getting them in the late 80s. Mine has one. This is an interesting site.

gorgeous bike...nice low profile seat...make sure odometer is working (they fail very often but they can be overhauled.)

The bike looks very clean...

Odo/speedo overhauler I used is "overseas speedometer" in Austin,  TX..Personally do not think price is too high..
