WTB K75RT Right Lower Fairing

Due to my failure to properly read the condition of a shoulder somewhere in Nebraska(no offense to the Cornhuskers out there, but I am beginning to loathe that state) I am in need of the right side lower fairing panel for a K75RT. 

Condition isn't that important, a few scratches and chips in an otherwise complete piece are OK as I am planning a repaint of the bike this winter.

There must be somebody here who is stripping an RT to make a cafe/scrambler.  Let me buy a piece of your old fairing.

Sorry to hear of your drop Gryph. Why is it that most drops seem to be on the RH side in OZ, and is it the same over there.

Judging from the plethora of left side parts available on eBay and from other sources I suspect that drops in the Northern Hemisphere are pretty much that same as down under.  Almost always on the right side.

Could be a good topic for a post, there must be a logical reason. If it's the same in both hemispheres it can't be road camber. Might have to go and find a Palm tree to ponder under. It's winter in Qld and the expected high today is only 27o C.

I am quite sure that if convention had us mounting our horses from the right side ... we would tip our bikes predominately on the left.

I have never dropped my bike when mounting. 1st drop rubber on lift handle came off in my hand ( handle now glued on with liquid nails.). 2nd drop a woman ran a red light while I was turning right at traffic lights, the car behind me hit his horn (lucky for me ). I hit my front brake hard and slid up the tank and dropped it. The red light runner shot between two cars at speed missing my front tyre by about 1' and kept going.That intersection now has a Red Light camera. 3rd drop a woman drove out of a car spot forwards straight into me and would have kept going. A guy stopped her and her excuse standard SMIDSY defence. 4th drop I hit the wheel clamp on my bike lift and bounced off and dropped it. That's 4 in 18 years all on the right hand side.

The first was about to weeks into owning my RT.  Trying to get leg over the seat when dismounting in my driveway.  I now set the sidestand whenever I dismount.

Second was a domino crash in the garage when the tragkorb on one bike clipped the tragkorb on another which was on the center stand.  Three bikes down, all on the right side. I no longer park them side by side.

Last was on a farm road in Nebraska when I pulled off onto a shoulder that was nothing but greasy mud the consistancy mashed potatoes and about 4 inches deep.  That is the one I need the fairing panel for.

I surprised Gryph that you haven't  been inundated with fairings, in the worst case scenario is the old one repairable? The bike repair place did a brilliant job on the repair to my belly pan and fairing.

I set the side stand before I dismount then check it again while I put the bike's full weight on it to be sure I can perform a graceful reposition if the blasted stand seems like it's going to collapse.

Yeah, with the number of RT's turning into cafe bikes or scramblers you would think there would be lots of firing parts around.

Repair is plan B.  But, it won't be pretty.  The bottom 6 inches was broken completely off as was the lug for fastening the lower part of the fairing to the mounting bracket.  There are also several cracks just below the air vents.  I can make the panel structurally sound, but it will look pretty bad from any distance less than 50 feet.
