85 k100 won't stay running
« on: July 19, 2016, 08:01:21 AM »
Bike idles if you hold the throttle up. The choke won't make it run either.  Dies shortly after going back to idle.   These issues are all different so I'd really appreciate any ideas.
New battery. New fuel.
Could it be some sensor?
Crank sensor appears fine and is.connected.though I haven't probed it's signals to determine what it's signal looks like so maybe it's not... Other ideas?
Could it be fuel?
Thanks for any help!

Is this the same bike you made reference to in your first post back in 2012? If it is the same bike, did you get it running after being given advice back then but didn't follow with an update. It's helpful to others if you followup your question posts with a post about results.

How long have you had this bike? How many miles had you ridden it before this started? Have you cleaned the air box, cleaned the air filter, taken off the fuel tank filler cap then inspected the interior of the fuel tank for deposits, checked all air hoses for leakage, checked and cleaned electrical connections to the fuel pump, replaced the fuel filter? What maintenance or repair have you done to the bike since you've had it?
