« on: October 29, 2016, 10:55:59 AM »
Does anyone know of a rack that's available, in the UK..?

This is so I can strap a roll bag to the top of the top case.

Thanks  :2thumbup:

Type in motorcycle luggage rack on Ebay and scroll through there are a few suitable ones hidden in amongst them. Alternatively get one water jetted, lazer cut, milled out of aluminium or stainless steel to your design. I used to make them at work out of 3/8 stainless tube bent up with a Rigid tube bender and get the welder at work to TIG them for me. Made allsorts of stuff out of stainless tube.

Pictures of your top box and a sketch of what you require would help. Try to get one made or an alternative use ute tonneau clips. I've used them previously you can rivet or bolt them in place but make sure to put a large washer on the back side. Straps then can be run through to secure your load as long as it is not too heavy. Next long overnight trip I will be attaching a couple to my top box so I can secure a sleeping bag behind me on the pillion position.http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Tour-Pack-Luggage-Racks-For-HD-Motorcycles-Tour-Paks-Glide-Road-King-1PC-/262629669459?hash=item3d25f2ba53:g:HTkAAOSwhcJWPquL

There are these little thingies called "Bungie Buddies" that cost $10 for a pkg of 4.  I put them on the top of my side cases so I can lash a big duffle bag full of camping gear to the pillion with a length of parachute cord.  They have the added benefit of preventing the rattle from the side cases bouncing around.

They can also be installed in the top or sides of your top case to tie stuff to it as well.
