Can't Beat This Fuel Pump Alternative
« on: June 28, 2011, 10:37:21 AM »
Rather than send a bunch of pm's, I decided to post this.  I had been contemplating getting asome aluminum sleeves made to convert the cheap  Purolator Facet 38 mm fuel pumps [$80 Napa, $63 Advance Auto, $36 + S&H Ebay] to either 52 mm or 43 mm.  Hat tip to the Duck for the latter info.

I pestered a lot of folks for info, researched my fingers off, ordered 3 E bay pumps, then found this:
http://www.euromotoelectrics.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=FP-231KIT  For $9 or $14, you can have the same results w/ no possible problems.  Note their 'kit' has same cheap pump.

The pumps will be here today.  I'm keeping one.  Being 'old school' where a deal is a deal, I'd rather take a minor beating on the other two than return them.

I'll have [2], NIB, $40 shipped lower 48.

Duck, I'll have your 'loaners' and that tank paint plug in mail today or in the a.m., depending on UPS arrival.

Thanks to all that helped!

awshucks, I changed the title of your post slightly so it would be easier for someone to find the fuel pump that you found. Good work, that's a great site!
