Mirror replacement
« on: March 21, 2016, 06:28:56 AM »
When my mirror fell off recently (no lanyard fitted!) and the glass smashed I was looking at £50 for a replacement. These guys - cardoormirrors.com - will make a mirror to any shape, you can just send them a hand-drawn sketch, with a good quality piece of glass, convex or flat, for less than half the cost of the genuine one. The quality is just as good I think.

Thanks for the heads up.

For those of us in the U.S. you can take your broken mirror to a shop that does auto glass.  If they can't make one for you, they usually know who can.  Collision shops can sometimes help you find someone who can cut a mirror for you.

I had a new mirror made for my K100RS last summer.  Cost me $18.
