Howdy from Georgia
« on: September 16, 2015, 10:15:06 PM »
I just got a garage find 95 K75 in pristine condition, only 5500 miles.
This thing even had the original tool kit, couple maintenance manuals, original owner's manual - perfect title.
I was lucky on this one, cleaned out the gas tank - no rust, added fresh fuel, new battery and it fired right up after:
    • cleaned up dirty battery ground on tranny
    • New tires in the works
    • New headlight bulb
I've had a couple of airheads and currently have an oilhead. I even had a K75S for awhile, but sold it because didn't like the riding position.
It was by far the smoothest running bike I've ever had though.
And this one is the same, but much more comfortable, and without all the fairing stuff, simpler to work on and lighter.

I'm looking forward to the help I can get and give to other owners on the forum.
Now for the long neglected spline lube (all of em)
Cheers
Larry

Welcome!

I got a K100 a couple of years ago and am in the process of adding extra LED lighting front and rear.

I'm in Marietta.

Sounds like an exceptional find!

Welcome!

I just moved from there (Hamilton Mill) to Auburn, Al - been up in Gwinnett since '96.

I just today received my 16v K100RS - with about 20x more miles on it than yours!  But she's a runner!

Enjoy!  Maybe I'll see you on the roads of N. GA someday...
