K75RT Lots of Bubbling in the fuel tank when running??
« on: August 10, 2015, 11:24:04 AM »
Hi all,

My first query and request for help and it is,

On starting my K75rt I have noticed that there are lots of  bubbles being blown out of somewhere within the fuel  tank , I would think either from the rubber hoses or fuel pump. Would I be right or wrong that there should not be bubbles?. This happens all the time from cold through to warm with the engine running.

I look forward to your replies.

(The bike is a 1993 with only 22k miles and the fuel filter has never been changed if that makes any difference.)

thanks

It is possible that the fuel return line could be routed near to the bottom of the fuel pump pick-up screen(the early K's did this), or at least below the level of the fuel(this was a TSB modification on the 1100's that could easily have been done to yours), this returning fuel could be causing this bubbling that you are seeing.

Thanks for the reply but does that mean I have a problem or that all is ok as it is?
