Front brake pipe through the triple tree..
« on: August 02, 2017, 12:23:13 PM »
So when I disassembled the front master cylinder, I ASSumed that the brake pipe that goes down through the triple tree on my RS was somehow locked. Turns out it wasn't...it wanted to spin a little bit before the banjo bolt broke free.

My question is do I need to counterhold it somehow before I tighten the banjo bolt back down? I wouldn't want to twist it too much and kink the line in the triple tree or something.

The brake pipe should have it's own anti-spin provisions built in.

Just push pipe up fully from the bottom and it should not turn. Not that much force required to seal new crush washers at the banjo bolt.

Got it, thanks!
