will these bar extenders work...? K75s

These bar extenders came with my K75s, and I think I would benefit from the extension as I would prefer not to lean forward as much. I don't want to get started on it and then find out I need tons of mods. looks like all I would need is a longer brake line. shouldn't be much trouble to get one made. ???? advice

Looks sort of similar  to the one I have.  Brake line should be the only issue, some bike are OK with the stock line.  You'll need to fudge the back cover to fit the higher dashboard which mounts to the front of the riser (can't see in photo, it should have holes tapped in to mount the dashboard)

thanks, is it necessary to get the brake fluid out before removing the line. I don't want to get fluid everywhere.

got them on, only mod needed is the remove mounting brackets and find another way to attach instrument panel.
the brake hose is barely long enough. I'm going to ride it and see if it is improvement before I mod anything.

greetings...

with barbacks... because of new stress point... rubber oem brake hoses are known to bust open at the banjo where the metal is crimped to the rubber...

I like them and I think I'll keep them on, I've heard the K75c hose  is is longer. if that's what I need, where is the best place to get one?

local hose man can make you a set of stainless hoses... mystic red had a set made in spokane... id stay away from oem rubber hoses...

thanks, my local napa doesn't make hoses. Spokane is 3 hrs away. Maybe I can find a closer source. Omak, or Wenatchee?

I've guess you checked to make sure that they don't touch the tank.  :yow

I had a set like those that the bottom edge just did touch the tank but that was on an old airhead.

since this post popped up again,
 I removed the barbacks and turned the stock S bars down and am trying the "yoda" position. I think I like it that way, but I haven't ridden the brick much since the cold weather hit. No snow, but the high is only in the 30"s today. I'm a wimp,l but I was raised in Miami so I come by it honestly.
I still need brake lines as I will remove the dead ABS [dead brain] this winter. Anyone know where I can order a  whole SS  set online? I will probably need measurements too. I'm sure a few of you have done this to a K75s. Is there a step by step "how to" posted somewhere? especially where to route the new lines, or is that pretty obvious? I'm pretty good at following directions, not so good at winging it on my own.

Find the import tuner / dyno shop in your town.  They likely can point you to someone local who makes SS lines.  The banjo ends are the tricky part.

I pulled the barbacks on my S also.   Much better.

Search on "stieger" for brake lines.  Think that is right spelling for company that makes them.  About 175 bucks.  I am about to order a set.

Can relate to the cold issue.  Lived in Miami for 15yrs.

confused as to which kit to order as I am getting rid of the nonfunctional abs at the same time.
