Hi all, i thought it was time to share my build as I'm looking for some advice/direction from the brains trust. I saved my K75RT a couple of months ago.. it had been sitting for about 5 years.. and rather than just cleaning the K up and registering I thought why not scramble and give thos Kbike another lease on life.. I'm at the point now where im deciding on speedo/instrument panel.. Ive seen that Acewell seems to be the popular choice but would like to look at other options. Im going to attempt to diy the install so would like to get your feedback.. thanks in advance fellow Kbike lovers!

Are you interested in selling the engine guards or other fairing bits? I like where you are going and will be interested in you write up on the instrument change details.

Put me in line after Elipten on interest in fairing parts. The main body I'd be interested in if crack free.

I like the seat. Most people try to rework the existing frame and the lines with the tank just never seem to look right. That's the first time I've seen that route taken and I got to say it looks good.

The frame is is reworked - look closer and you'll see that the original rails have been chopped off just behind the triangle (and rear shock top mount) and the new hoop is attached just to the rear of the tank, then supported above the original rails.

That style of seat seems to be becoming popular of late, although having ridden on one I'm sure it's not a reason of comfort... It does give some useful extra clearance above the rear tyre so it has that going for it.

Looks good so far.

you need 50mm of extension on that drive shaft me old mukka, just so happens..........!!!!!!

Thanks all.. The build is coming along well. Just finalising the gauges and exhaust. As for the fairing bits, yes I'm in the process of cataloging and working out how much the fairing pieces are worth.. I'll post pics of the fairing pieces if your interested send me a message.. I'm open to offers. Basically I've got the entire RT fairing with brackets etc.. All in good condition.

It's been a while since I've posted.. Here are some updated pics of my Scrambler build... It's come a long way.. Just need to tidy up some brackets and calibrate the speedo..

nice mirrors. I got the same ones, they show lots less vibration than the factory mirrors.

Nice build I went with Koso gage and can't seem to get it to pick up the rpm. Any idea?

I paint striped the tank then hit it with sand paper in one direction to get the brushed look. .as for the exhaust it's a Dan moto.. I had to customise the fitment to achieve the angle.

Acewell is pretty good. .the only thing I don't have functioning is the neutral light and fuel. .. i retro fitted the original fuel guage so all in all happy with the Acewell.

Thanks. .speed pick up via the front wheel. . I used the magnet pick up that came with the speedo

I picked up the rpm via wire 16 on the KBike..

Nice build. What tires are those. I put Shinko 705s on the rear, but can't find a similar tread pattern for the 100/90v-18 front http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/shinko-705-dual-sport-tires link is to the 705s at revzilla for reference. I'm going a similar direction with an 87 K75s, but doubt I will mod the frame. I'll put a seat with a bump back there rather than the flat seat. This pic has been my inspiration...
