The end of the piston rod have 9mm threads, which is secured with Loctite in the alu eyelet.
You need a spring compressor, a plier to counterhold the rod (protect the piston rod),
heat the rod end and the alu eye to melt the Loctite and expand the alu eye (take care with
the rubber parts)...unscrew the alu eye.
PS. The same OEM shock is used on both EURO and US models.
