UK/EU Alternate Parts List
« on: January 12, 2017, 09:43:15 AM »
In the next week or so I'm going to be updating this post with various links to suppliers of alternative parts for UK or EU users which I have collected over the past year.

I have links for everything from wheel bearings to alternator brushes/bearings which I have purchased and fitted myself.

I have found that although MotoBins have a good selection of parts they are still silly expensive on some items.

For example I source both front wheel bearings for under £12 for the pair instead of the £40 or so that Motobins charge this is quality deep groove Polish made bearings.

Another example would be a brand new compatible rear master cylinder (Brembo clone) for £8

The categories will be.

Front wheel bearings (Pattern, Deep Groove Polish made)

BOSCH 50Amp Alternator Rebuild parts (Brushes, Bearings, Slip Rings)

Starter Rebuild parts (Brushes, Bearings)

Instrument cluster LED light upgrade

Heated Grips (24W Chinese/Modified)

Spline and Shaft Lube Graphite paste

Rear master cylinder (New third party/ ABS bypass only)

Complete front and rear LED light upgrade

Front and Rear pads

Swingarm Roller bearings

Seat covers + Aftermarket screen options

Aftermarket Instruments + Circuitry modifications

You have caught my attention with that rear master cylinder.  Is that 8 pound price a misprint?

I am in dire need of a new one for one of my K75's before the touring season starts in April.

£8 is not a typo. Its a Chinese clone, its actually cheaper the buying a seal kit for the original. However it does require some machining which can be done with a simple drill. I would not buy chinese for the front but the back is ok. well in my eyes anyway.

By my calculation you can buy about 4 of theose master cylinders for what a single seal kit costs.  What size bit do I need???  My drill is charged and ready to go.

Eagerly looking forward to your information.

I will post a separate write up on the rear MC swap. Are you using ABS or have you bypassed?

Eagerly awaiting M/Cyl write up. I bought 2 rear kits from Beemer Bone yard cheaper than one from OZ including the freight.  :popcorm
