Tire Pressure '92 K75 Radials

I upgraded to radials on the stock rims. 110/80/18 Pilot 3 front
140/80/17 Avon Azaros rear. The guy who installed em said run at 34-35 psi in front and 35-36 psi in rear. The handling on the bike is so much better with the radials, but the rear tire feels like ... a bumpy ride at slow speeds plus a kind of sliding effect.

What kind of tire pressure do you guys usually run with this kind of set up? I'm planning to eventually upgrade to the k100rs rims. But was trying to do stuff in steps.

What does it say to run on the side of the tire?

A search on the inter tubular webs says the max load capacity/inflation pressure is 42 PSI.

If you haven't put many miles on them...the slip could be the mold release...gotta wear that chit off.  Bumps are yer suspensions job.

The pressure on the side of the tyre is irrelevant - it's a pressure figure for maximum load... Same for car and bike tyres. The wife's car tyres have a maximum pressure of 45ish psi and they get run at 32 - if I ran them at 45 the middle would go bald very quickly.

Radials on my 75 I ran at 31 front (tyre says max pressure is 36) and 36 rear (42 on tyre) - I worked from the weight of the bike vs load rating of the tyre, tried 3psi either side in 1psi steps and settled on those figures as feeling most stable (which oddly was exactly the figure I 'calculated').

Now I'm moving to enduro type tyres I'm probably ending up at least 5psi under those figures because of different construction and load rating...

With the tyres you have I'd be starting with 30f and 38r and going from there.
