Which also happens to be my first road bike, an '87 K75c with a Pichler V1 fairing

With a mere 45k miles...wait...
About a week ago I found this particular bike on craigslist via searchtempest.com. Though I've been trolling ebay and craigslist for like 9 months looking at BMW's I hadn't seen one with this Pichler fairing before. I googled and found Drake's classicbikes site with photos of a K75 with a similar Pichler fairing...
...and from the craigs photos, seemed to be the exact same bike, but Drake's photos indicated it looked good for having 80k miles...
I emailed Drake and spoke on the phone with him (cool dude BTW). He said he sold it to a guy in Alabama a few years ago with around 80k miles. The seller of the bike I bought it from indicated he bought it about 5 years ago (from a guy in Alabama). At some point the bike's odometer reading got halved and I'm certain the seller I bought it from didn't know about it or have any hand in it (he said he put 5k miles on it since he bought it). From what Drake said the bike was in excellent shape when he sold it, and the seller I bought it from took good care of it (nice retired guy that has owned a fleet of BMW's throughout the years). So at any rate, knowing that, and being an '87, and buying it for $1750, I'm not really worried at all about it.
I only rode it a couple miles as a test ride but I'm sure the fiance and I are going to love it
I'll be reading old posts here quite a bit, and I'm sure I'll be posting n00b questions, but thought I'd introduce myself and the bike with a slightly interesting history.
