Looking for a Picture - Corbin Dual Canyon
« on: August 07, 2013, 01:19:47 PM »
Ok, brickers. I'm looking for some assistance because I'm a cheap bastage.

I have a Corbin Canyon Dual Sport seat on my '94 K1100RS. I have a backrest for it and the under-seat mounting bracket for the passenger to use the backrest. What I'm looking for is a picture of the mounting bracket to use it on the DRIVER portion of the seat. Corbin lists the part number as OPL and I could buy it through Corbin for ~$40.

But being a cheap'O, I'd like to see if anyone has one mounted on their Dual Canyon and can shoot a picture of the bracket. It looks fairly simply....maybe a piece of bar stock with 3 holes in it (2 to mount to the seat and one to mount the backrest stem to) but I want to be sure there's not something else to it. So, if anyone has a Dual Canyon with the backrest mounted for the driver, I'd be much appreciated if you could shoot a quick shot of it so I might be able to fashion up one of my own.

This is what I'm working with showing the current mounting holes and where the stem of the backrest would go.

Well it looks like my google-fu was weak earlier but I got it back. Found a picture of the OPL bracket and it's obviously not something I'm going to try to make on my own.  :yow
