1986 K75S Brembo Dust covers
« on: January 22, 2017, 10:12:36 PM »
 Hi All,
I'm looking for 3 x Dust covers for a 1986 K75S with Brembo Discs front & rear...  I've tried to buy from Munich in Australia - and Motobins Uk, but getting the wrong part each time.  can anyone identify the part and provide a BMW part number from these pictures or from their parts knowledge.
I'm also looking for a rear wheel centre hub dust cover for a snowflake wheel.  this is the hub that covers all 4 wheel bolts, not the dinky little rubber part in the centre.
Any help / advice much appreciated.
Kind regards,

Alister Moultrie -  Sydney Australia.

For part No 6 on your drawing.
On Motobins site their part No 20534  BMW No 3111454120. Motorworks UK second hand BRK54120 This   is   for   the   type   of   brake   caliper   without   bleed   nipple   blanks   on   each   side   of   the   caliper   body.   The   Brembo   number   cast   into   its   underside   is   20.3254.20.   For   a   new   alternative,   please   see  BRA54120. Don't think you can get the wheel cap new.

I remember having a problem finding the right dust covers for my 86 also.  Popped one off my front, the # inside is 20.3254.32 (the last "2" is a different style) and Brembo 2 printed underneath.  The rear brake dust cover is a completely different design.  Mine, and others I've seen, never came with the hub cover, but one from a K100 should fit.

Thankyou both gentlemen for such prompt answers:    I have got 2 x Part #20534 from Munich,  they're for the front, but actually fit the rear Brembo calipers...  they look like this Dust cover #1 picture below...  I "think" what I should have is picture Dust cover 2 as per below...

I'm trying again with Motobins UK as they do list the part #20536...

Q:  The part #54120 you list if a Swingarm Internal Grease baffle.

Thankyou again,   Cheers /  Alister

Thanks Martin:  Interesting reply...  your exploded view shows the part with 4 holes drilled so the dust cap fits over the brake pad pins. That might be the one i hope...  Now gotta find one.  I'll also talk to Chris at the BM Shop Bris too...

I just pulled one of mine off looks the same as Chaos's one minus the cut out where his finger is. The part No on all three of mine is 20 3254 20. I had a look a Real OEM .com for a part No but you need to put in the month of the bike.

Just had a look at my calipers they don't have the half round protrusion between the caliper pins and the covers do not have holes for the pins.  Can the covers you have received be modified by cutting out a scallop for the protrusion.

I'm very happy to report that Bruce from Munich M/cycles in Perth called me back just now and has commented that I must need Part #3454653  which it the same Brembo dust cover with a 'cutout' over the nipple base etc...

Problem solved...  they're good guys!!  Now just to get the rear wheel bolt -  dust cover too!

Cheers
