FS: A seat, a system case, handlebars, headlight, etc etc
« on: December 01, 2012, 03:57:14 PM »
I have some odds and ends off my 1985 K100 that I no longer need, maybe one of them will be useful to you.

Pics on request, any reasonable offer will most likely be accepted. Paypal OK, or postal money order. ACTUAL COST OF POSTAGE ADDITIONAL, or better yet come pick up your parts in Rockland County, NY.

SOLD 1. OEM rear shock. Low miles (if you believe the odo on my bike), no leaks or problems whatsoever. $40

2. OEM seat. This is the old (1985 and earlier) style, with grab handles part of the seat. Upholstery is torn and there is some rust on the pan, but could be useful for a project. No mounting hardware. $30

3. Dust cap for bearing on bottom tree p/n  31 42 1 234 509 Brand new nothing wrong with it, I bought two when I only needed one. $2

4. Left side integral case. Cosmetically not great but it got my stuff from NY to Arizona and back. Has the new style locks (not the flat kind). $50

5. A pair of RT style handlebars. $45

SOLD 6. A complete center and side stand with mounting bracket & auto-retract mechanism on side stand. This is 46 52 2 310 475, the old style center stand. $120

7. Headlight (63 12 2 305 350). According to Beemer Boneyard, should fit all K75/100/1100RT/LT/RS models and years. $125

8. A complete set of OEM brake hoses, front and rear (non-ABS). The top front brake line fits the RT handlebar. Nothing wrong with these lines -- when I changed from RT to RS bars, I replaced everything with stainless steel. $50

9. An H-bracket for fairing/headlight. NOTE: was altered by DPO, if you're interested I'll send pics and detailed description. Includes left and right covers, 46 63 1 453 227 and 46 63 1 453 228. Make an offer.

No, the paralever shocks are about an inch longer than the 2V.  IMO, for all of the riding you two put in you should consider getting a new RAM/Realm shock.  Great bang for your buck (or pound.)
Once I had a Collie pup. Dug a hole and covered him up. Now I sit there by the hour. Waiting for a Collie-flower.

... the seat ... there's a tear in the top and some rust in the pan, not unusual. The plastic grab handles are there and complete. You get the big rubber block bumpers but no hinge hardware or latch post.

... and the stand: center stand, side stand, and bracket that attaches it all to the bottom of the transmission. The side stand retracting mechanism is complete and it works.

I can think of a guy on here who could tell you the difference between a K100 and a K1100 H bracket.... but but it's not me. The part I'm offering is 46 63 2 316 170, the K1100 part is 46 63 2 308 715, on the fiche they look quite different.
